PEOPLE, PLACES and PRINCIPLES

One of the most noted of all passages in the Bible is the first Psalm. It is a timeless classic, that speaks to everyone, at all times and to all kinds of people. The wisdom contained in it speaks straight to our hearts.

Let us read Psalms 1:1 – “​1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

Verse one speaks about three things – PRINCIPLES, PLACES and the PEOPLE.

1- We are to have Bible based Principles as our guide, and not walk according to the wisdom and the counsels of the world. Essential!

2- We have to be watchful and mindful of the place we wish to be at. Even if our intent is good, but by simply being at the wrong place will cause us hurt and harm. So the wisdom from the Word of God is to be away from such places. Essential!

3- People are the third lesson for us. With whom we associate; who are we with; whose company we keep, makes a huge difference in our lives.* The people with whom we associate *will have certain amount of influence over us. If our associates are bad, wicked and evil, then their influence is not good for us. Essential!

Be wise my dear friend. Let us hold on to the biblical Principles. Be mindful of which Places we visit. Be careful and cautious about the People with whom we associate. May the LORD help us!
