The Bible talks about prayer and how to carry on with it. Many times, prayer, as simple as it may seem, becomes a difficult and a tough thing.
The LORD Jesus thought it appropriate to speak about it, and exhorts the believer not to be discouraged and disheartened while praying – Luke 18:1 “1 Then He [Jesus] spoke…that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,”
There is the necessity upon us to know that prayer can be exhausting. It can drain us of precious strength. Such is the endeavour of prayer. Therefore, the LORD exhorts us “not to lose heart.”
Paul echoes the same in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – ’17 pray without ceasing,” He speaks about prayer again in Colossians 4:2 – “2 Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;”
Let us always remember to not lose heart while praying, and earnestly pray, without ceasing. So help us LORD.
"Battles are won or lost on the field of prayer, but even prayer can be a battle."
