The LORD Jesus knocks on the doors of our hearts – Revelation 3:20. This tells us that he know us, knows our house, and the address of it. Isn’t that wonderful and amazing? I would be happy to welcome Him!!! There are no two thoughts about it. Can there be anything better than the LORD God Almighty coming and knocking on the door of this worthless sinner? There can never be a opportunity as great as this. No, Never ever.
Now He could be perceived as a stranger too. The two disciples on the road to Emmaus couldn’t recognise their Master – Luke 24:13-31. However, for the LORD, they were no strangers. He knew them very well, and who they were. The same is with us. We too can look at Jesus as a Stranger, while to Him we are no strangers. We are blinded by our own thoughts and understanding, just like those two disciples. Is it not so?
Thomas did not believe when it was told to him that the LORD is risen, and that the others have seen him. It took a second visit from Jesus, and an invitation to physically very His wounds, that convinced Thomas – John 20:19-29. Many times, we too are doubtful and sceptical with the LORD…just like Thomas. Don’t we?
The Word of God exhorts us to trust the LORD, regardless of how we see it, and whatever doubts plague us. For any day it is better to trust the LORD and His Word, that rest upon our intelligence and our ability to grasp the things related to our Creator. So the LORD help us.
"Jesus is saying...that if anyone hears His knock and opens the door, they will have access to an intimate relationship with Him."
