God our Creator never intended our lives to be a smooth affair. Even when He placed our first parents in the garden, He wanted them to work and earn their living. God wants us to face our challenges, and always be occupied with constructive work. This not only glorifies out God, but is a trait that God Himself possesses, and He expects us to follow Him in it, faithfully.
However, life in the fallen world is seriously complex, and severely complicated. It is much more difficult now, than what was originally in the garden, because of the curse we have brought upon ourselves. Our heart, our minds, our motives are not only influenced by evil and wickedness, but in fact, we have become evil ourselves. This is the reality we live in, and the reality in which face our challenges.
Therefore, for a Christian, who had a change of heart, by the goodness and grace of heart, life is not a struggle but a challenge. A challenge simply means, difficult and hard, but not impossible. It also means, it is a challenge that is thrown at us. When such a gauntlet is thrown at us, it is but reasonable for us to accept it. Why is it so? For those of us, who are willing to pick up that challenge and face it with courage, are the ones who will win it. This again is a reality of life.
Let it be known, that to take up that challenge is not easy. It will require much more than intelligence and skill. It demands patience, willingness to endure suffering, readiness to take the pain, and the guts to stand up, despite the failing strength and resolve. It is good to go through such trials, for it is worth it…for victory comes in no other way.
Remember, the LORD is our strength and our hope. We are not on our own, and we are never alone. The LORD will help us through this. “15…Hearken ye, all…Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” – 2 Chronicles 20:15.
"Never, ever waste your difficulties in life through grumbling, unbelief or despair. They’re far too valuable, and you’re not passing this way again. Gold isn’t designed to forever stay in a furnace, but it will never shine brighter anywhere else."
