Knowledge of what we are doing is essential, not only for our survival, but also for our success. For knowledge gives us the power.
Speaking about prayer, the LORD Jesus gives us, His disciples, an insight that is absolutely critical for everything about our understand of who God is, and also for our Christian walk, in Matthew 6:8 – “8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.”
The LORD says, “…your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.” This knowledge about our LORD helps us, not only to be reassured, but more significantly, deepens our understanding about who our God is. Doesn’t it?
One, “He knows all our needs.” Two, “He know it all, even before we ask Him.” These two points should help us to trust the LORD for all our needs, and leave it at His feet, and not fret about them. Such a knowledge of who God is, is liberating, to say the least.
"God doesn’t want us to be consumed with worry and anxiety . . . Instead, He wants us to turn our worries over to Him, and to trust Him for the future...Jesus used the carefree attitude of the birds to underscore the fact that worrying is unnatural. I am learning in my own life, day by day, to keep my mind centered on Christ."
