The coming days will open many an eye, that still believes in the “goodness” of man, and the worth of the systems he has established. We do not doubt their intentions, when such systems were established. The problem with man is not his desire to do good, rather, anything that he starts, however good and noble its intentions, they will fail ultimately, because the heart of man is very sick, and is in desperate need of a remedy, which is beyond the realm and control of man. Sadly, this is a lesson, man is unwilling to learn.
Christian persecution is something that is bound to happen, because of the clash in perspectives. The world, its powers, and its rulers, are diametrically opposite to all that the Bible holds as truth. Therefore the clash is inevitable.
In such a context, it good for us to realise that no politician, no political party, and no earthly power will stand with Christians, in the hour of their need. This is the reality. Some may have a good and kind heart towards Christians, but they are helpless in the system that is in place. Such is the sickness in the heart of man.
In times where deterioration and decay is rampant and rapid, there is not much of a hope in the systems of man. The ONLY hope and help is the LORD, and the non-violent, peaceful and silent protest, as the LORD taught us, within the legal avenues available for us. This is not being cynical and pessimistic, but rather, honest and truthful to the Bible, and to all it says about man.
We should always remember that, *the LORD who called us out of darkness into His marvellous light, will never leave us, nor forsake us. This is true. The quicker we learn these points, the better it is for Christians.
"Persecution is simply the clash between two irreconcilable value-systems."
