The church at Jerusalem celebrates the birth of Christ on 06 January 548, for the last time, because the Western church moves it to 25th December. The Church history records that this practice started with emperor Constantine in 336 AD.
The point, we, as the disciples of Christ, ought to remember always – we celebrate the birth of the Redeemer, and not anything else. Both the dates may be wrong. Whatever it may be, we should remember to celebrate Christ, and the reason for His birth. This should be the only reason why we celebrate Christmas. Anything else would not be of any value, and become meaningless cacophony.
Therefore, let us learn to keep Christ in the Christmas. He is the reason for the season. Let us never ever forget that “…the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” – Luke 19:10
"Remember, if Christmas isn't found in your heart, you won't find it under a tree."
