Many a times, as human beings, we wish to run at a breakneck speed. This we think, is the best way to approach life, and all its works, and the problems to be solved thereof. Don’t know about solving issues, nor achievement, but we surely seem to break ourselves us mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. This is the reality of life!
The Word of God, especially Psalms, many times speak about the Sovereignty of God, and His power, that transcends every conceivable obstacle. It further advocates that we learn to understand this, and to wait patiently for God to move things, at a time of His choosing and in the way that He sees it fit. This is good and wise thing!!!
“5 For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. 6 Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places. 7 He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.” Therefore, “10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.” – Psalms 135:5-7, 46:10-11
My dear brothers and sisters, let us learn to wait patiently for the LORD to move things. Let us not hurry things up, nor try to do things on our own. Though, I can say with experience, it is not easy. Waiting upon God doesn’t come naturally to us. We ought to prayerfully seek it, and diligently pursue it. May the LORD help us.
"If the Lord Jehovah makes us wait, let us do so with our whole hearts; for blessed are all they that wait for Him. He is worth waiting for. The waiting itself is beneficial to us: it tries faith, exercises patience, trains submission, and endears the blessing when it comes. The Lord's people have always been a waiting people."
