The resurrection is the public display and acknowledgement of the finished work of the LORD Jesus Christ. “The Word became flesh” [John 1:14] so that He could “seek and save that which was lost” [Luke 19:10,] whereby, we the undeserving “sinners and enemies of God” [Romans 5:6-10] could have “life eternal, and have it abundantly” [John 10:9-10.]
Now we, the undeserving, having received freely, this precious and priceless gift of salvation [John 3:16] through Christ’s loving sacrifice on the cross, are “called out of darkness into His marvellous light” [1 Peter 2:9-10,] so that, “we may proclaim His goodness, grace and mercy” [1 Peter 2:9-10.]
The place and the position to which, we the undeserving are called to, is “to be His ambassadors, representatives and His disciples” [2 Corinthians 5:17-20,] who are commanded to “preach the gospel to all creation at all times” [Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16]
What we see on the resurrection day, is Christmas being unpacked fully. All that Jesus Christ set to accomplish, by being “born as a babe in a manger in Bethlehem” [Luke 2:6-7] is accomplished and accepted [Hebrews 9:12] by His resurrection [Acts 2:22-24.] HalleluYah!!! He is risen!!!
"The resurrection completes the inauguration of God’s kingdom. . . . It is the decisive event demonstrating that God’s kingdom really has been launched on earth as it is in heaven. The message of Easter is that God’s new world has been unveiled in Jesus Christ and that you’re now invited to belong to it."
