Dreams are good and one should have. We should passionately pursue them. We should put it effort and work towards attaining our dreams. This is a good thing to pursue.
However, let us remember that, nothing comes freely in this life. We have to pay a certain price to attain the dream. It is called sacrifice in normal terms. What are we willing to sacrifice in order to achieve our goal in life? What price are we willing to pay to attain our goal?
– Joseph had a dream, but he never crossed the line of civility and morality for the sake of achieving his dream.
– Daniel had a position of power, but he never compromised on what is important in life.
– Shardrach, Meshach and Abednego stood for what was sacred to them, prepared even to lay down their very lives.
The list goes on my dear brother and sister. What is it that we are willing to trade off, to gain, what we think is, our goal and our dream? What we are willing to trade off or sacrifice, speaks about the value we hold, for the thing that is being traded. Also, it speaks of the value we place, on the thing that we wish to attain or achieve.
Let us pause and ponder our position. Let us evaluate ourselves and our trade-offs. What are we sacrificing to achieve our dreams? Is it worth it? Will the LORD, who gave His very life for us, be happy and proud to see our achievements in life, and the trade-offs?
May the LORD help us to stand for Him and Him alone, at all times, for His glory, and for the blessing of His people. So God help us.
"If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him."
