The LORD God Almighty, is the only one who can truly and utterly transform a totally reprobate person, into a completely reformed person. Saul of Tarsus is a very fine example. Let us hear it in his own words…
– “21 Afterward I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 22 And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea which were in Christ. 23 But they were hearing only, “He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy.” 24 And they glorified God in me.” – Galatians 1:21-24
What a transformation; what a testimony; what a life, isn’t it?…
– “23…He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy.”
Not just nice words about Saul, who is now called Paul, but the LORD is praised and glorified, because of this amazing and unimaginable transformation, and more significantly, the life that Paul was living, for His LORD…
– “24 And they glorified God in me.”
Our lives, which are touched and transformed by the LORD Jesus Christ, should be a fragrant offering to our Redeemer and our LORD…just like the life of Saul turned Paul. This is the purpose of our redeemed lives. How is it going with us?
Now the question that begs our attention and an honest answer from us – What do people speak about us and our lives? What kind of testimony are we displaying? Does what is being talked about us, glorify God? Does our life, our lifestyle, and all that we do in our life, bring glory to God? “What is the point of being a Christian, if God is not glorified, in and through our lives? May the LORD help us to live and shine for Him and His glory.
– ” 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16
– “8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” – John 15:8
Soli Deo Gloria! Glory be to God, and God alone!!! May this, and this alone, be our motive and motto for our lives. Even so, the LORD help us.
"We glorify Christ when we live for God—trusting, loving and obeying Him. Our voices, our service, and our abilities are to be employed, primarily, for the glory of God. Everything we do should glorify God!"
