Each of us have needs to be provided for and met in our lives. The apostle Paul, who learned to walk by faith in God, rather than by his sight [2 Corinthians 5:7] has these words to say, to the early Christians…
– “19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19
– “8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” – 2 Corinthians 9:8
The same is the underlying theme of king David, when he said…
– “1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” – Psalm 23:1
If we read the Bible, and try to gain an understanding, of who God is, we pretty soon come to this conclusion…
– God knows our needs.
– God cares to provide our needs.
– God in His providence will provide even what we did not ask for…if it is needed by us.
– God will go out of the way to protect us.
Dear brothers and sisters, let us not focus too much, on getting what we want. But rather, let us be keenly focused in doing, what the LORD is asking us to do. God wants us to trust Him, at all times. God wants us to obey Him, in all circumstances. For in trusting the LORD at all times, and in obeying Him in all matters, is our greatest good, and our greatest blessing.
"When you put your faith and trust in Christ, God will meet all your needs. This doesn’t necessarily mean He’ll give you all your wants or desires, although God will often give blessings out of His great love. And God can bring your wants and desires in line with His will; His will is always for you and not against you."
