When the Word of God says that, the name of the LORD is a tower of refuge, it is not some mystical and magical incantation, which when uttered will open all locked doors, solve all our problems, and remove all our obstacles. The name of the LORD reveals His attributes and His character, which in turn, helps us to place our trust in Him. When we place our faith in God, He will work in and through us, to help solves the problem, in the best of our interest. HalleluYah!!!
– “God provides a wonderful and strong defence. This is rooted not in a magical saying of His name as if it were a charm or a spell, but in the name of the LORD as a declaration of His character, His person. In all that He is and all that He stands for, Yahweh (the LORD) is a strong tower.” – David Guzik

Let us never ever forget that, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” Our safety is in this, when we run to God, as one does to a strong, stable and secure shelter, when it rains heavily. Do we run to the LORD, on a daily basis? Do we seek the LORD and His protection over ourselves? Have we made God our refuge, and stay put under His wings of safety? May we always make God our refuge, and always be under the shadow of His wings – Psalm 91:1.
"The name of the Lord — That is, the Lord, as he hath revealed himself in his works, and especially in his word, by his promises, and the declarations of his infinite perfections, and of his good-will to his people; is a strong tower — Is sufficient for our protection in the greatest dangers. The righteous — By faith and prayer, devotion toward God, and dependence on him; run into it — As their city of refuge. Having made sure of their interest in God’s name, they take the comfort and benefit of it: they go out of themselves, retire from the world, live above it, dwell in God and God in them, and so they are safe, as if they were in an impregnable fortress."
