CAN WE EVER THANK OUR LORD, ENOUGH? Oh can we ever thank our LORD for all His goodness, grace and mercy? Oh, what blessings we are showers with, day upon day! Can we ever count them in our lifetime? I am drowning, not in any problems, but in God’s love, that is poured upon us, day upon day, despite our unworthiness, deceitfulness, and our unfaithfulness.
– ’12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?” – Psalm 116:12
The LORD had been, nothing but gracious towards us, and utterly faithful in all His dealings with us. What kind of a Person should He be, to love the unlovable? What kind of a heart should it be, that cares for its enemies, and dies the most cruellest of all deaths, ever so willingly, for people like us? Do we have courage enough, to estimate the cost of this precious and priceless love, that is demonstrated on the cross of Calvary?
Oh the faithfulness of God, that despite our unfaithfulness, is willing to stay faithful with us, and forgive us our sins, whenever we confess them? Do we not see the Parable of the Prodigal son repeated time and again in our lives? Even though we have grieved the heart of God, many times over, yet He graciously chooses to forgive us our sins. What heart is it, that loves and forgives thus?
With what can we come to You O God, to say thank You, for we have nothing to give You, except give You, from all what You have so graciously give us? All what we have, is what we have received from You. There is nothing that is our own; nothing that we can claim, we have earned it ourselves? Yes we have something that is our own, and that is our sin. Yes we have earned something, and that is our death, the eternal death. Yet, You have graciously forgiven us, our sins, and saved us, from our earnings – the eternal death.
– ’12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me? 13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD. 14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people…16 O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. 17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.” – Psalm 116:12-14;16-17
Thank You LORD for Your love, grace and mercy. Help us we pray, that we would walk with You, faithfully and obediently, all the days of our lives. This is our prayer. This is my prayer. We want this, and this alone, and nothing else. Grant us this our prayer, we pray. Please grant us this prayer, that we walk with You faithfully and obediently. Even so, the LORD help us.
"12 “And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD, which I am commanding you today for your good? 14 Behold, to the LORD your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it."
