Elisabeth Elliot is one of the few, who is qualified to speak on the subject of, problems and pain that a Christian goes through.
She lost her husband Jim Elliot within three years of their marriage when the Auca tribe killed him in 1953.
She is a brave lady who says “…that out of the deepest pain has come the strongest conviction of the presence of God and the love of God.”
It needs guts to follow Christ. But take heart if you are weak. The problems and pain are precisely for that…to make us strong, and help us, to see the hand of God, His grace and His love.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” – Is 41:10
