March 23, 2022Anytime in the history, when the people of God deviated from the LORD and His way, they were exhorted to stop and do “a right about turn.” This in other words is a radical and total surrender to the LORD. This is the only way of help for our restoration.
Surrender is laying down of our thoughts, plans and ideas at the feet of our Redeemer, and seeking Him to help us reframe our lives and our lifestyle, that would honour and glorify Him, who has saved us, and is transforming us. This is good and beneficial for us.
When the sickness is severe, no half measures would help. It needs a surgerythat cuts deep and wide. If we do not wish for such a surgery, in all probability we will be on our way to the ‘mortuary.’
The Church and Christians are at a crossroads today. Unfortunately the Church, its leadership, and the popular sentiment is that, everything is going perfectly well. It hasn’t been better than this, is the opinion.
Paul, writing to the Church at Rome, talks about our “Living Sacrifice to the LORD”* in Romans 12:1-2 – *”1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Please don’t brush aside these words from the Bible. Let us not get blinded by the world and all that is there, my dear brothers and sister. Let us look to the LORD for help and strength to live for Him.
