When the storms hit us hard in our lives, the LORD is not expecting us to pray fervently – “nothing wrong with prayer.* The LORD is not expecting us to speak the promises – nothing wrong with the promises of God. When problems hit us like a storm, the LORD expects us to TRUST HIM to stand with us, and deliver us from it. Have FAITH, in simple words.
When the the storm hit the boat, the disciples were terrified, and scared to death. However, the LORD did not speak comforting and reassuring words to them. He QUESTIONED their faith in His ability to save them. When problems hit them, they abandoned their trust in their Master’s ability to protect them, and placed their fears in their instinct, and their experience as fishermen. They began to get scared like a carnal man.
“40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” – Mark 4:40
"I will trust Him. Whatever, wherever I am, I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him; in perplexity, my perplexity may serve Him; if I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve Him. My sickness, or perplexity, or sorrow may be necessary causes of some great end, which is quite beyond us. He does nothing in vain"
