Human relationships do break…often. Most broken relationships can be repaired. Some broken relationships would take time and effort to repair and restore. Very few, sadly, have to be left alone, without any amicable solution – we have to endure them…and carry on.
When someone breaks ours trust and hurts us, let us, as the faithful disciples of Jesus, forgive them and love them. Not easy to do so. However, if we look through the prism of God, we would want to take up the challenge. To build something takes time and effort. It requires love, sacrifice and forgiveness to work with people and build them. We should aspire to be people who will build good and lasting things, which will bless others…and not destroy things.
I believe everyone is free to think, choose and do things the way one wants it. We should always respect it. However, as someone who genuinely cares about people, and relationships, let me share few of my personal thoughts and principles that our LORD taught me.
We are called, as Christians, to be peace-makers – “9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons [and daughters] of God.” – Matthew 5:9
We should strive to see the big picture, and always keep it in our view – “23 All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify. 24 Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.” – 1 Corinthians 10:23-24
Let us, as the children of God, be KIND, LOVING and FORGIVING, remembering always, how Jesus dealt with us – “32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. 1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” – Ephesians 4:32 – 5:2
May the LORD be with us, and help us to be His ambassadors…be like Him in our thoughts, and deeds…be IMITATORS of GOD.
"God doesn’t give the hardest battles to His toughest soldiers; He creates the toughest soldiers out of life’s hardest battles."
