Our lives are full of surprises. There are a lot of times we are concerned about many things. There are times we are scared of what is happening, or what might happen. At such times, it is good to know that such ‘surprises’ are normal to all of us, and are common too. This should be the first step towards all that we are concerned, scared and afraid about.
Secondly, when we are scared of something in life, then, the only way forward is, to face it, and fight it. We may not gain control and victory over it, in a day or two. Sometimes, we may never be able to gain total control over it, all our life. It doesn’t matter. Yes, it doesn’t matter.
What happens when you face your fears fair and square, and decide to fight it head on is, it will stop looking scary, and also, you will see that you have much more in you to fight it, than you previously thought. This changes the equation in your favour. This immensely helps our ability to fight back.
Lastly, but most importantly, seek God for help, wisdom and strength in facing your fears and fighting them. David is a fine example of fighting his fears and his enemies – “4 I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. 6 This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.” – Psalms 34:4,6,7
So, stop simply being scared, and start facing it. Let us face our fears, and fight them head on. Let us NEVER GIVE UP in our fight. NEVER GIVE IN to our fears. We will be better off on this road, than doing nothing about our fears. May the LORD help us.
"Fear imprisons, faith liberates; fear paralyzes, faith empowers; fear disheartens, faith encourages; fear sickens, faith heals; fear makes useless, faith makes serviceable."
