Heart is considered critical for our general and overall wellbeing. Our heart is what keeps us going in the face of adversity, trials and difficulties. It gives us strength and stability when facing a storm. Therefore we have so many expressions, proverbs, quotations and sayings on our heart. For example, “Heart of the matter.” “Heart of a lion.” “Heart of gold.” “Pour your heart.” “Wear your heart on the sleeve.” “Heart of stone.” “A cold heart.”
The Bible exhorts us…“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” – Proverbs 4:23
Our health – mental, physical, emotional and spiritual – is intricately linked to our heart. The healthier our heart, the healthier our health. No two thoughts on this.
“Our hearts are desperately wicked,” says the Good Old Book. Our Saviour said, “Out of the abundance of our heart, our mouth speaks.”
Therefore let us desire a healthy heart…a heart that LOVES, SERVES and CARES, because such a heart is HEALTHY, HAPPY and STRONG. Let us seek the LORD for the same. For He alone can give us a “new heart” and keep it that way.
""A heart that LOVES, is always HEALTHY. A heart that SERVES, is always HAPPY. A heart that CARES, is always STRONG.""
