No, it is not! No day is just another day. Whatever may be our circumstances, our struggles and the storms, it is never just another day. If we realise what is happening around us, we would never ever think so. We have to look around, not within. When we do so, we will begin to appreciate life and all that is ours.
The Word of God talking about us and our lives, it says, “14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” – James 4:14.
It is good to remind ourselves as often as possible, that we are alive, and seeing another day, because of the goodness and the grace of God our Creator. The preceding verses in James 4 speak about our futility in being sure to see another tomorrow. There is no guarantee my dear brother and sister.
The LORD not only extends our life, but loads it with his blessings – “21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.” – Lamentations 3:21-27
Therefore, let us be, ever so thankful and grateful to the LORD, for the life we have, and the blessings, that the LORD has blessed us with. Have we forgotten so soon, the hymn that urges us to count our blessings?
"Jesus is moved to happiness every time He sees that you appreciate what He has done for you. Grip His pierced hand and say to Him, "I thank Thee, Saviour, because Thou has died for me." Thank Him likewise for all the other blessings He has showered upon you from day to day. It brings joy to Jesus."
