LEARNING TO LOVE LIKE OUR LORD

To love others is a trait that is given to us by God our Creator. We love our family, our friends and so many others. How many of us love those who are troubling us, persecuting us, hating us, and wanting to “kill” us?

The LORD Jesus Christ walked this thorny path of Sacrificial Agape love. He also urges us, His disciples, to walk on it, just like how he did. This is the real test for a disciple of the LORD – to love the “enemy” with the same sacrificial Agape love, as our Master.

It is not easy. It is going to crush us, and “kill” us, many times over. The situation may not improve at all. No help may be coming our way. For all that matters, we may go deeper into the crusher. It may be “hell.” Still, the LORD wants us to walk that path of Sacrificial Agape love. Are we prepared? Are we willing to?

May the LORD help us, just like He helped Stephen…for whom no miraculous help was extended.
