The ‘Process of Learning and Improvement’ is firmly based on two dimensions – “the PRINCIPLES we adapt for our lives,” and “how sincerely we PRACTICE them.”
Principles have to be ‘Put into Practice.’ If not, they simply gather dust, and we will not move even an inch forward. It is a mere waste of time, energy and effort, to learn the principles, and not act upon them.
Principles need to be ‘Adjusted and Adapted’ to each individual’s situation, without compromising on the essence of it. The reason being, there is no ‘one size fits all’ remedy for our financial ailments.
Principles need to be ‘Studied and Understood.’ Without knowing what it is, one wouldn’t know what to do, even if given the best of advice. This requires and demands effort, to analyse our financial situation, which then, will help us find a proper and workable solution.
Principles that we wish to adapt into our lives, should come from ‘Sound and Wise Sources.’ All knowledge that is available, need not be good at all, to begin with. Hence, it is always prudent to consult people, who can enlighten us. This helps us to be sure of what we are doing.
After the due process, then arrive at a ‘Plan of Action’ that is both practical and realistic, and not ambitious and ambiguous. May the LORD help us.
"The thing that has hindered the progress of the church is not so much our talk and our creeds; but it has been our walk, our conduct, our daily living. We need a revival of Christian example, and that can only come when professed followers of Christ begin to practice Christian discipline."
