Each person is different, just as, all the five fingers on our hand, are different and distinct. Just as our differences, so also our response, to anything that we face. Peter was very different from Thomas; and Thomas from Nathaniel. Even, two identical twins differ in so many ways, among themselves, in their personalities. This is the richness of life.
Regardless of our personalities, and how so ever, we may perceive the problems, we encounter, on a day to day basis, there is one fact which is common for a Christian. The source of our help, comfort and strength – the LORD Jesus Christ!!! The LORD Jesus is the only reliable source of our help. He is a “FRIEND” to whom we can run to, at any time, with anything, and not worry how we would be received. The LORD truly cares for us.
Have we not heard, what the beautiful hymn, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” speaks about, what to do, when faced with storms and struggles? The first stanza speaks about Jesus as our Friend, who cares for us, and we are encouraged to take all our problems to Him, whom is eager to listen to our cries. Isn’t that wonderful to have a “FRIEND” like that?
“What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!”
Truly, what a Friend is our LORD!!! Let us not hesitate, nor be worried about, how the LORD will receive our prayers. He know us through and through. He care for us a lot. Let us run to Him – “7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7. HalleluYah!!!
"Whatsoever there is, or can be, that is desirable to be in a friend, is in Christ, and that to the highest degree that can be desired."
