An old English proverb says, “Face is the index of mind.” The wisdom behind the proverb is this – our words may be sweet and polished, yet our face reveals our intent.
Sometimes, we may not be able to read the faces well. Many times faces may not reveal the true colours of an individual. However, the heart of a man is seen in their actions… loud and clear. The eyes, the tongue, and the deeds, should not only match, but should be in unity and harmony.
I had the opportunity to see some of the leaders very closely, because of the ministry. Oh the colours they change just to fit in, gain traction and move ahead. Sadly they are counted as “Christian” leaders. Would the LORD say to them, “Well-done thou good and faithful servant?” What the LORD says counts my friend…only what the LORD says.
This is my prayer for myself – “14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.” – Psalms 19:14
May the LORD who weighs our hearts and its intents help us to be true to Him in our thoughts, words and deeds, for as long as He give us life.
"Many deceptions only appeal to us because there is something inside us that "wants" to believe them. They are seductive because of darkness and wrong motives in our own lives. We must search our hearts and root these out."
