“WHAT” ARE WE GIVING?

November 9, 2024Life in modern times, can be discouraging, if we see it from a Christian point of view. Sin seems to reign. The godless evil seems to have unbridled power. There appears to be no end in sight for the power of evil. The god of this world is Lucifer. He is the one who holds the control of this world. We have effectively handed over the keys to this world, to Satan, when we chose to disobey the LORD God Almighty, in the Garden of Eden. Hence Lucifer has a hold over this world.
– “31 Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.” – John 12:31
– “4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” – 2 Corinthians 4:4
– “12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” – Ephesians 6:12
Such scripture portions may be discouraging to read. We may become disheartened too. However, that need not be the end of the story, for us, as Christians, and the children of God. *Where there is God Almighty, our LORD and Redeemer, there is sure hope. Yes, the LORD brings hope and help.* We ought not to be gloomy or discouraged. *The LORD is Sovereign and He is Almighty!* He reigns over all that is seen and unseen. HalleluYah!!!
– “1 The LORD reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad!” – Psalms 97:1
– “10 Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns; The world also is firmly established, It shall not be moved; He shall judge the peoples righteously.” – Psalms 96:10
– “1 The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The LORD is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved. 2 Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting.” – Psalms 93:1-2
– “6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!” – Revelation 19:6
– “15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” – Revelation 11:15
Dear brothers and sisters, let us not be worried about anything that is happening around us. The LORD is on His throne, and He still reigns. He will hold us close to His heart, and will help us through it all. THE LORD REIGNS!!! HalleluYah!!! Let this be clearly etched in our hearts.
