God has given each of us many talents, according to our abilities. It is expected of us to use them for the glory of God and for the blessing of His people. When we use them well, the LORD will add more and more.
“14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.” – Matthew 25:14-15
When something is entrusted to us, and is expected of us to use them profitably, there are three things that we need to keep in mind for a fruitful life.
1- BE YE FAITHFUL : 1 Corinthians 4:1-2
“1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”
2- GOD’S WORK NEVER STOPS : Esther 4:13-14
“13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews. 14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
3- GOD WILL SURELY REWARD OUR EFFORTS : Romans 2:6
“6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:”
The gift that we have is given to us by God. He expects us to use them. He wants us to be a blessing to others through our gifts. Now, let us take stock of our status.
"My share of the work may be limited, but the fact that it is work makes it precious."
