July 25, 2023The LORD God of all creation is not only ALMIGHTY, buy is also OMNISCIENT and OMNIPRESENT. Isn’t that comforting and calming? It sure is!!!
This aspect of God saves is embedded in the very name of our Redeemer. The name JESUS is YESHUAH in Hebrew and Aramaic. YESHUAH means, THE LORD SAVES. Isn’t this comforting and calming? It sure is!!!
The systematic and organised manner of killing of Christians all through the history of the Church, can be very disturbing. It may even make some wonder, where is God in the midst of these atrocities. What is happening in Manipur is not only cruel and inhuman, but is a manifestation of pure evil.
Now, in the face of all the news that is pouring in, it is easy to lose our sight, and in some cases, can shake us up in our faith. What we miss, is the fact that the LORD is the same yesterday, today and forever. He will never leave His people, nor forsake them. Surely we may go through fiery trials and some terrible times of pain and anguish. But the LORD saves. Yes, YAHWEH saves!!!
A praise worthy incident from Manipur, as mentioned by eyewitness to Sister Ruth Mangalwadi – “In one village, as the tribal people (Christians) fled for their lives, they took shelter in drainage canals/ditches, and as they looked up over the edge of the ditches, they saw their attackers firing in the opposite direction, at a hillock where none of their people had run! (Pray that God may continue to confuse and confound the enemy/Enemy.)”
Let us continue to uphold the people of Manipur – the Christians as well as those who want to eliminate them, that the LORD would prevail, and demonstrate His power and glory, as He did to Pharaoh of Egypt. YAHWEH, our LORD, is still the same, and He is still on the throne. All glory to LORD God Almighty!!!
