In a world where self is elevated to the pinnacle in every aspect, it is not an easy proposition, to live as a Christian. This is the reality in life.
To be a Christian, is to swim against the current. It requires much more than mere mortal strength, and a determined human will. It takes a heart, that willingly places God, over everything else…especially self. It is a challenge to do so; no less a challenge than walking the razor’s edge. May be, to be a Christian is, much more than that.
God, who knows, understands, and cares for us, is willing to stand with us, and walk us through everything, that may stand against our desire to live for Him. Therefore, “6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” 8 And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” – Deuteronomy 31:6,8.
As we walk the narrow way, to which our LORD had called us, let us…
TRUST God, not ourselves.
DEPEND on God, not ourselves.
LIVE for God, not ourselves.
"We must keep in mind that the perpetual temptation before us as followers of Christ is growing too comfortable in this world. The three temptations of Christ in the desert are presented to all of us, and they are summed up by the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life."
