Psalm 40 begins with the words “waiting” and “patience.” The words of David, speak about his struggles in life, and his faith in the LORD – “1 I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.”
“2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.”
“3 He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD.” – Psalm 40:1-3
The lesson for us, as we pass through problems and pain in our lives, are…
– Have faith in God.
– Be patient. Don’t be in a hurry.
– God has His own timing and purposes.
– Learn to persevere, when passing through trials and testings.
– The LORD will bring us out of the problem.
– He will set our feet on firm ground
– He will steady and establish us.
– God will put a song of praise in us.
Therefore, learn to trust God, wait patiently for Him, and persevere in the face of trials and testings. The LORD will not leave us, nor forsake us – “5 Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered.” – Psalms 40:5
Have a great day, and a blessed week ahead.
"God is too good to be unkind. Too wise to be mistaken; and when you cannot trace his hand you can trust his heart."
