God is the origin and the epitome of all virtue, and all good. In Him there is no wrong. In Him there is no bad.
– “17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works.” – Psalm 145:17
As human beings, we may or may not understand God. Regardless of it, God is infinitely superior, and utterly incomprehensible, to our human intellect.
– “7 “Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty? 8 They are higher than heaven—what can you do? Deeper than Sheol—what can you know? 9 Their measure is longer than the earth And broader than the sea.” – Job 11:7-9
The LORD God Almighty is the same unchanging God, forever. He is the same yesterday, today and for ever.
– “8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” – Hebrews 13:8
When we know, and come to a realisation of the absolute and righteous standards of God, then we begin to see things differently, even if we do not understand the situation, nor make any sense of it. When we come to such a realisation, then we would learn to trust God, more than our instincts, our insights and our intelligence.
– “16 When I applied my heart to know wisdom and to see the business that is done on earth, even though one sees no sleep day or night, 17 then I saw all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. For though a man labours to discover it, yet he will not find it; moreover, though a wise man attempts to know it, he will not be able to find it.” – Ecclesiastes 8:16-17
We ought to understand that human intellect, though it has its place, yet, it is good for us to realise that, we are finite beings, and therefore, it is impossible for us to gain enough and full knowledge, to understand God, and all His works.
– “3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, 4 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?” – Psalm 8:3-4
When we over emphasise, and make human intellect the basis for our faith, we walk into erroneous zone. Unless we give ourselves the room to be finite, also, the possibility to go wrong, and recognise our inability to comprehend Him, we cannot truly and fully know God. Strange as it may seem, this paradox, it is true.
– ” 23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” – Mark 9:23-24
God of the Bible is the ORIGIN of all good and righteousness. He is the EPITOME of all VIRTUES. In Him is nothing bad found. He is the just and righteous God. HalleluYah!!!
– “3 For I proclaim the name of the LORD: Ascribe greatness to our God. 4 He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.” – Deuteronomy 32:3-4
HalleluYah! How great…how great is our God! Soli Gloria Deo!!! All glory to God and God alone.
"When we speak of knowing God, it must be understood with reference to man's limited powers of comprehension. God, as He really is, is far beyond man's imagination, let alone understanding. God has revealed only so much of Himself as our minds can conceive and the weakness of our nature can bear."
