Thankfulness and thanksgiving is one of the foundational principles of the Christian life. Thankfulness should be ceaselessly flowing from the heart and the lips of a Christian, all the days of our lives.
– “15 Therefore by Him [Jesus Christ] let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” – Hebrews 13:15
– “6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” – Colossians 2:6-7
– “20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,” – Ephesians 5:20
– “21 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! 22 Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing.” – Psalm 107:21-22
How has our day begun? How are we approaching all that is ahead of us, this day? With what words are we coming before the LORD, this morning? May we have more words for praise and thanksgiving to the LORD, who is worthy of all out praise, than anything else. Even so the LORD help us.
"Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others."
