No child of God has ever towered his struggles, without first going through the furnace of life. Afflictions are mere hurdles, laid out before us, to make us stronger in faith.
In Greek thought there are two kinds of knowledge. One that is learnt by sight, hearing and observation. Second, is what we learn by experience. Experiential knowledge is also called as wisdom.
Now, God intends us to learn to implicitly trust Him. This comes by our past experiences of trusting Him. Further more, this immensely helps us to stay the course, in the face of any affliction, while on our voyage called life.
So next time you are in deep trouble, and are wondering, ‘why God?’ Just remember, that this is for our good, and for the blessing of others through us. Keep trusting God, for He is good and there is no evil in Him.
*”Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.”* – 2Co 1:3-5
