It is not out of the world, for some to considered Christians as “carzy” people. I don’t know if you have consider the above situation. The reason for me to say so, is because of how the LORD calls us to face problems in life, and with what attitude should we approach troubles, trials, testings and tribulation. Let us consider what the apostle Paul writes to the early Church at Philippi.
– “4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” – Philippians 4:4
What Paul writes here is one of the core themes of Christian faith, as we find it in the Bible. Paul himself is a fine example of this “crazy” thinking – to rejoice when things are troubling and testing us. Think of it – when Paul write the epistle to Philippians, his future was uncertain. He was in prison. There is not much of a hope for justice. He is old, and not a young man. Yet he has a spirit that is not troubled by his circumstances, but is confident in his outlook, and courageous in his attitude, all because of God his LORD, and not because of his own strength.
– “Despite the circumstance from which it was written, joy is all over the letter to the Philippians…Paul’s joy wasn’t based in a sunny optimism or positive mental attitude as much as it was the confidence that God was in control. It really was a joy in the Lord.” – David Guzik
How about us, dear brothers and sisters? What circumstances are plaguing us? What situations are pressurising us? What storms are raging in and around us? What struggles are we facing? What trials are testing us, our strength and our resolve? How are we faring dear friends? Are we weighed down by the weight of all what is happening around us? Let us learn to trust God. He is faithful and true. He will never abandon us. The Good Shepherd will come seeking for us, if we are stuck in some thickets, like the one lamb that was lost. Have faith in God. Let us seek Him with all our hearts, and wait upon Him for our safety and our security. Let us always rejoice in the LORD, even though it may seem crazy to all around us. Even so, the LORD help us.
