When we truly know and realise, who our God is, then, there is no more desire left in us, to want someone else, or something else. The vacuum and the void left vacant in us, because of the fall of man, is filled completely. God of the Bible is the only One who can be “THE ALL SUFFICIENT GOD.”
– “1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am [El-Shaddai] Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.” – Genesis 17:1
EL-SHADDAI is not merely the name of God, which means, “God is all sufficient,” but it is also the character of God, being revealed to Abram, and to us too, even today. HalleluYah!!! What an amazing God is EL-SHADDAI!!!
– “El shaddai, I am God all-sufficient; from shadah, to shed, to pour out. I am that God who pours out blessings, who gives them richly, abundantly, continually.” – Adam Clarke
– “…the Hebrew word shad means “chest” or “breast.” It may have in mind the strength of a man’s chest (God Almighty) or the comfort and nourishment of a woman’s breast (God of Tender Care).” – Donald Barnhouse
– “Shaddai comes from the root shadad, which means “to display power.” – Herbert Carl Leupold
– “The name “God Almighty” is translated from the Hebrew “El Shaddai,” which conveys God’s supreme power and sufficiency. This name emphasizes God’s ability to fulfill His promises despite human limitations. It is a reminder of God’s sovereignty and might, which is a recurring theme throughout Scripture, seen in His creation, sustenance, and governance of the world.” – Berean Study Bible Notes
What more do we need dear brothers and sisters? The God Almighty, our EL-SHADDAI, is all suffient. If we have the LORD, we have no need for anything else and anyone else. He is ALL SUFFICIENT!!! Don’t you think so?
– “21 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. 22 Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:21-23
– “9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”…” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
– “13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13
– “8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” – 2 Corinthians 9:8
– “19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19
– “1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.” – Psalms 23:1-3
Whatever may be our situation; whatever may be testing and troubling us; let us never forget that, God who called us, and the God whom we worship is our “EL-SHADDAI – THE ALL SUFFICIENT GOD!” Let us trust Him, and walk in faith and obedience. Even so, the LORD help us.
"The assurance of God's provision is a recurring theme in Scripture. This promise echoes Jesus' teaching in Matthew 6:31-33, where He instructs His followers not to worry about their needs, as God knows and provides for them. The verb "will supply" indicates certainty and future fulfillment, reinforcing the faithfulness of God to meet the needs of His people...The scope of God's provision is comprehensive, covering every need of the believer. This is not limited to material needs but includes spiritual, emotional, and relational needs as well."
