July 22, 2026The LORD God our Creator, the God of the Bible, our Redeemer, the LORD Jesus Christ is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent. He reigns sovereignly over all that is seen and unseen. All what He ever plans will never fail. No force on the earth or beyond can stop Him, nor delay all what He wants to do, the way He wants to do, and the time at which He wants to do it. He is the Sovereign Ruler of the whole universe. He is our God, and we are His people. HalleluYah!!!
– “30 There is no wisdom or understanding Or counsel against the LORD.” – Proverbs 21:30
The Amplified Version of the Bible gives us even more clearer view of the same verse.
– “30 There is no [human] wisdom or understanding Or counsel [that can prevail] against the LORD.”* – Proverbs 21:30
The above verse tells us clearly that the God of the Bible is the God Almighty, and He alone is the Sovereign who rules unchallenged over all the universe and beyond, if any. This understanding should form the foundation on which we build our faith, and our Christian life. The LORD whom we serve is Sovereign and Almighty. Berean Study Bible Notes commenting on Proverbs 21:30 makes this observation – “…every form of human brilliance-wisdom, understanding, counsel-fails when set against the Lord. He alone is omniscient, sovereign, and unstoppable. The wise response is humble submission: test ideas by Scripture, seek His insight, plan under His authority, and rest in His invincible purposes.” – Berean Study Bible Notes
What an insight it is to know and realise that nothing can prevail against the LORD God Almighty, the God of all creation, the God of the Bible, the LORD Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, our Provider, and our Protector! Yes…
1- “NO WISDOM”
2- “NO UNDERSTANDING”
3- “NO COUNSEL”
4- “THAT CAN PREVAIL AGAINST THE LORD”

1- “NO WISDOM”
– “14 Therefore I will again confound these people with wonder upon wonder. The wisdom of the wise will vanish, and the intelligence of the intelligent will be hidden.” – Isaiah 29:14
– “19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”; 20 and again, “The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” – 1 Corinthians 3:19-20
– “13 He catches the wise in their craftiness, and sweeps away the plans of the cunning.” – Job 5:13
2- “NO UNDERSTANDING”
– “19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” – 1 Corinthians 1:19
– “18 They do not know nor understand; For He has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, And their hearts, so that they cannot understand.” – Isaiah 44:18
3- “NO COUNSEL”
– “10 The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. 11 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations.” – Psalm 33:10-11
– “10 Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted; state a proposal, but it will not happen. For God is with us.” – Isaiah 8:10
– “21 Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the purpose of the LORD will prevail.” – Proverbs 19:21
4- “THAT CAN PREVAIL AGAINST THE LORD”
– “13 Even from eternity I am He, and none can deliver out of My hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” – Isaiah 43:13
– “27 The LORD of Hosts has purposed, and who can thwart Him? His hand is outstretched, so who can turn it back?” – Isaiah 14:27
– “35 All the peoples of the earth are counted as nothing, and He does as He pleases with the army of heaven and the peoples of the earth. There is no one who can restrain His hand or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’” – Daniel 4:35
– “12 He frustrates the devices of the crafty, So that their hands cannot carry out their plans. 13 He catches the wise in their own craftiness, And the counsel of the cunning comes quickly upon them.” – Job 5:12-13
– “13 “With Him are wisdom and strength, He has counsel and understanding. 14 If He breaks a thing down, it cannot be rebuilt; If He imprisons a man, there can be no release. 15 If He withholds the waters, they dry up; If He sends them out, they overwhelm the earth. 16 With Him are strength and prudence. The deceived and the deceiver are His.” – Job 12:13-16
– “9 Be shattered, O you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Give ear, all you from far countries. Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces; Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces. 10 Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us.” – Isaiah 8:9-10
If anyone wants to attempt to disturb, delay or destroy the thought and plans of the LORD Jesus Christ, then we should wait and watch. We will see the walls of all such “Jericho’s” come crumbling down. Is someone “WORKING AGAINST THE LORD?” then we should wish that person ALL THE BEST. He will pretty soon come to know who the God of the Bible is.
– “9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” – Philippians 2:9-11
Have a blessed day as we learn to trust this Sovereign God, and live under His wings and His shadow. For He is our Shield and our Defender, the Fortress, our El Shaddai – the All Sufficient God!!! Glory to Him and Him alone, forever and ever. Amen!
