March is the month of money for us here. It is the last month in the financial year. People are getting their income tax papers ready. It is all about money.
The Bible has some wise words on money. It is good for us to consider a few verses for our meditation. May the good LORD help us to walk wisely, in all the matters of finance. How we handle money has a great impact on our lives.
GOD & MONEY – ANY ONE PLEASE
“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.” – Matthew 6:24
MONEY – A DECEPTIVE DELUSION
“Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.” – Proverbs 23:4-5
MONEY – THE QUICK SAND
“Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.” – Ecclesiastes 5:10
Let me quote Billy Graham on this very important subject, “If a person gets his attitude toward money straight, it will help straighten out almost every other area in his life.”
How do we see money?
What role does it play in our lives?
What kind of a hold does money have over us?
"Water is useful to the ship and helps it to sail better to the haven, but let the water get into the ship, if it is not pumped out, it drowns the ship. So riches are useful and convenient for our passage. We sail more comfortably with them through the troubles of this world; but if the water gets into the ship, if love of riches gets into the heart, then we are drowned by them."
