The church at large, and most of us, the Christians, are living in “cold” days. We seem to be enamoured by all things which are not our primary purpose, as Christians. We desire more of health, prosperity, great future, and rolling in all the “best” things this world wants to offer, than about the LORD’s purpose for us.
The dream for many of us, is to have a great life, littered with money, comforts and the best of best things, this world can offer. For us to achieve this dream, we are sparing no effort, and are willing to cross any “red line” that stops us as Christians. The reason? We have made for ourselves, a “calf” that speaks what we want, and legitimises all that we ever want. The “prophets” and the “preachers” that we propped up, “comfort” us and help us believe, that this is what the LORD our Redeemer, and our Master, wants for us. What wicked ingenuity…smarter than the ones in the wilderness of Egypt!
The LORD Jesus, who died for our sins on the cross of Calvary, so that we could be redeemed from our sin, and the consequences of it, had this to say to the disciples, as He was about to ascend into heaven. These are His last words – as such, they are very important words for us.
Jesus says, “19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” – Matthew 28:19-20
Our primary purpose for our existence is to proclaim openly, the “Good News” of our LORD Jesus Christ. SO HELP US LORD.
"16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith."
