OUR PROVIDER

How wonderful and comforting it is to know that the LORD is our everything? He is our God, our Saviour, our Protector, our Provider and our Sustainer. He always thinks about our good. He is the only One who truly cares for our welfare. He is only One who comes to our rescue.

This is precisely what Psalm 147 speaks about. “5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. 6 The LORD lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground.” – Psalms 147:5-6

The Psalmist goes on to say, “11 but the LORD takes pleasure in those who FEAR HIM, in those who HOPE in HIS STEADFAST LOVE.
12 Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!
13 For he strengthens the bars of your gates;
he blesses your children within you.
14 He makes peace in your borders;
he fills you with the finest of the wheat.

We are to FEAR HIM, and HOPE in His STEADFAST LOVE. Fearing God is not being scared of Him. It is to be reverent towards Him, and be willing to obey Him. Herein is our blessing and our ‘benefit.’

Therefore, let us surrender ourselves to the LORD in all aspects of our lives, and He will not only take care of us, but will provide all what we need. Do we need anything more? The LORD will provide all that we need.
