ALL I HAVE NEEDED…

“ALL I HAVE NEEDED THY HAND HATH PROVIDED!” – what a powerful statement. It is not some silly, sentimental or senseless affirmation.  It is a very sound biblical affirmation, which we normally call as faith or trust in God. The LORD’s grace and providence are over us, and therefore we can confidently proclaim, whatever our situation, that “All I have needed Thy hand hath provided!”

The words of this heart touching hymn, “GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS” speak confidence and courage into any heart. “All I have needed…” – this covers all that I am in need of. ‘ALL’ means, everything. ALL is inclusive of the present and the future. It is not just the immediate, but *all I am ever in need of!* Does this not fill our hearts with strength? It does to me!

“Thy hand hath provided!” the second part of the statement, that all my needs – both the present and the future ones too – are ‘ALREADY’ provided by the LORD God Almighty! HalleluYah! Isn’t that a good reason to praise and thank the LORD? It sure is!

“21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. 26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. 27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.” – Lamentations 3:21-27
