Accurate measuring of the life and its purpose on the earth, is absolutely essential for a Christian. It brings everything into perspective. Jim Elliot hits it straight. The offer of Jesus is not only incredible, but also the only way forward for us, the lost world. We are to give what we ANYHOW cannot keep, and that which drags us down to destruction. In-turn, the LORD gives us what we CANNOT lose. I call it an UNFAIR deal, because it is tilted in our favour.
