Life is always good and beautiful, when the LORD is part of it, no matter what may be happening, in and around us. Any day and everyday is good and beautiful, when we are walking with the God of all creation, regardless of whatever may be happening, in and around us.
The LORD God Almighty, the God of all creation, the LORD Jesus Christ of Nazareth, when is made part of any day and everyday, it is but natural, for that day to become, good and beautiful. Let us read the incident of the “Bitter Waters of Marah, Made Sweet” found in Exodus chapter 15.
– “22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. 23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. 24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? 25 And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, 26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. 27 And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.” – Exodus 15:22-27
When God is obeyed with all our hearts, whatever may be the situation, any day and everyday will become a good and beautiful day, just like the bitter waters of Marah were turned into sweet waters, by the LORD. May we always remember this lesson. May we always desire to walk in the path, which our LORD and Redeemer, wants us to walk on. Even so the LORD help us.
"Recognition of and yielding to God’s will: that is the one thing which for us changes all. The one secret of peace and of getting sweetness out of bitterness is loving acceptance of the will of God. Discernment of purpose in God’s ‘bitter’ dealings-’for our profit.’"
