Integrity is the glue that holds our lives together, as a Christians, and as the disciples of the LORD Jesus Christ. It leads us on the paths of uprightness, as desired by our LORD. Meanwhile, perversity is the ingredient that will erode, little by little, moment by moment, all that is beneficial, and a blessing to us, and drives us like cattle, on to the path of destruction and annihilation. This is what the Bible, which is the written Word of God, has to enlighten us…
– “3 The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.” – Proverbs 11:3
Ends results of both integrity and perversity are crystal clear. There is no ambiguity about it.
Both integrity and perversity, are invisible, except seen in various forms, in our lives. We speak the truth, because of our integrity. One chooses to speak lies, because of perversity in our hearts. Thus, they both being invisible, are yet, so clearly visible. That is why I call them the essential ingredient, for upright living, or a life on the road to destruction.
Jesus Christ of Nazareth, our LORD and our Redeemer, is a fine example of a man of integrity. He was faithful and truthful to the Father, by being faithful to the purpose for which He was sent, by the Father.
– “34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.” – John 4:34
Dear brothers, sisters and friends, let us know and realise that…
– “Walking in integrity is a fundamental aspect of the Christian life, deeply rooted in biblical teachings and exemplified by Jesus Christ…As Christians, our integrity should distinguish us from the world, reflecting God’s morals and character in our behaviour, actions, and lifestyle.” [from the article, “Walking in Truth” on 7loavesandfish’s website.]
True character of a disciple of Christ, is seen in the integrity of that individual, when the chips are down, and the storm is raging, with no sight of an end, to the obstacles, and the problems. On the other hand, perversity, leads on a path of destruction, with or without our consent. For both, integrity and perversity, is an intentional choice that one has to make, every moment of our lives.
May the good LORD help us to be men and women of integrity. May integrity be seen in our thoughts words and deeds. May we be truly disciples of the LORD Jesus Christ, who was Himself, a Man of integrity, par excellence. Even so the LORD help us.
"The supreme test of goodness is not in the greater but in the smaller incidents of our character and practice; not what we are when standing in the searchlight of public scrutiny, but when we reach the firelight flicker of our homes; not what we are when some clarion-call rings through the air, summoning us to fight for life and liberty, but our attitude when we are called to sentry-duty in the gray morning, when the watch-fire is burning low. It is impossible to be our best at the supreme moment if character is corroded and eaten into by daily inconsistency, unfaithfulness, and besetting sin."
