All Christians, will be grateful and thankful to the LORD, for the grace and mercy, showered upon them. It is good, and it is necessary. One question, that we as the disciples of the LORD, should be asking ourselves, is this, “LORD what do you want me to do?” Of course, to be God’s witness, and to preach the gospel – Matthew 28:18-20.
The Bible records the LORD Jesus’ call of the disciples thus – “17 Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” 18 They immediately left their nets and followed Him. 19 When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets. 20 And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him.”
“…Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.” 11 So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him.” – Mark 1:17-20; Luke 5:10
Obedience to the call of God, is one of the critical tests for a Christian. Would we be willing to leave everything and follow the LORD? Will we be willing and eager, to set aside everything, and follow the LORD, wherever He would send us? It is not a simple question, neither is it, an easy one. There is much more at stake, to be truly a disciple of the LORD Jesus. How do we stand in this regard?
"God, send me anywhere, only go with me. Lay any burden on me, only sustain me. And sever any tie in my heart except the tie that binds my heart to Yours."
