FOUR FOUNDATIONAL STONES – “ALL THINGS WORK FOR OUR GOOD”

“ALL THINGS…YES dear brothers and sisters, ALL THINGS…WORK FOR OUR GOOD” because this is what the LORD Jesus says to us in the Bible, which is His written Word…
– “28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28
When the times we are passing through are uncertain and chaotic, we have to trustingly walk in faith in the LORD Jesus – 1 Corinthians 5:7, who had graciously called us out of darkness into to His marvellous light – 1 Peter 2:9-10, with patience and perseverance, by looking into the LORD Jesus, the Author and the finisher of our faith – Hebrews 12:1-2.

Dear brothers and sisters, as life continues and years pass by, we ought to remember four very important principles that strengthen our faith, and stabilises our perspectives and perceptions. The three principles are as follows…
1- GOD REIGNS AS SOVEREIGN, EVEN THROUGH CHAOS, CONFUSION AND CONTRADICTIONS
2- GOD TAKES THE STONES THROWN AT US TO BUILD OUR LIVES AND FULFILL HIS PROPOSES
3- GOD TURNS OUR BRUISES INTO BLESSINGS
4- ACCEPT ALL THINGS KNOWING THAT GOD IS GOOD, GRACIOUS AND JUST

The above four principles are sound scriptural conclusions. They ought to be the stones, among the choice few, that should become part of our strong spiritual foundation. Let us look at each of these four foundational stones in the coming days. For today’s meditation, we will consider the first stone – GOD REIGNS AS SOVEREIGN, EVEN THROUGH CHAOS, CONFUSION AND CONTRADICTIONS.

1- GOD REIGNS AS SOVEREIGN, EVEN THROUGH CHAOS, CONFUSION AND CONTRADICTIONS
Life can get chaotic and confusing, and can get complicated with many contradicting situations. Many times questions may hit us about God’s presence in our lives at such times of need. Many times doubts may appear like legitimate concerns; if allowed unchecked scripturally, they can turn into fears that can destabilise us and our faith. Some have detailed their faith because they were unable to see the scriptural wisdom on such matters of life about God and His sovereignty over everything in this world.
– “Every event falls within God’s providential rule: suffering, weakness, loss, persecution, answered prayer, and seasons of joy. Evil remains evil, and hardship remains painful, yet no circumstance can escape God’s power to accomplish His holy ends.” – Berean Study Bible Notes

The LORD Jesus is the only Sovereign God, and He is with us in the midst of all the chaos, confusion and contradictions happening in and around us. We will find hope and help in the LORD Jesus for sure. The hope that is available only in the LORD Jesus is something that should keep our feet firmly on the ground, and our hearts and minds unruffled and restful in the assurance that, the LORD is with us. Hence, there is no need to be concerned for anything.
– “18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” – Romans 8:18

Dear brothers and sisters, God is Sovereign, and He is firmly in control of all that is happening in this world. Also, the LORD is in control of all that is happening in and around us. Therefore, let us have no doubts about anything, but only faith in the LORD, and obedience to His Word. Even so, the LORD Jesus help us.
