Friendship is many good things rolled into one. It has such amazing effect on anyone.
Great friendships are the result of intentional attitude of LOVE, FORGIVENESS, RESPECT and FREEDOM towards the other person. The Word of God wisely exhorts us in Proverbs 17:9 – “One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.”
We are human beings, and we do falter, fail and fall down. The test of friendship comes what one chooses to do when things go wrong. The God Old Book says – “17 A friend loveth at all times…” – Proverbs 17:17
If one person is insincere between the friends, the bond of friendship will fall apart. This is for sure. True nature will come out.
Let me quote my father, who advised me while growing up. He said, “There are many acquaintances and few friends.” This is so very true. That is why friendship is precious and priceless.
So, when you find a good and true friend, hold on to him with all that you have. For such people are rare to find. More so, in these days where commerce is the god of the age. While doing that, let us be that true friend to those who are counting upon us. Is that fair?
"The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart."
