The cross is a disgraceful thing. Yet the LORD took it up. It was our sins that put Him up there. Better, my sin put Him there.
By His death on the cross, He paid the price for our justification.
Sin enslaved us to death. We couldn’t do anything to break free. We couldn’t buy our freedom, nor could we earn it by good deeds.
When we were doomed to eternal death, the LORD stepped in, to stand in our place, and took our punishment. This paved the way for our freedom.
It took the Creator Himself to come down to pay for our freedom. He now owns us double – as our Creator, and our Redeemer.
Live worthy of Him, our LORD, Master and Redeemer.
