The first of the ten commandments related to humans, and the only commandment with a promise attached, is about parents. Unfortunately, it is also the most abused.
No parent would raise their children without the element of self-sacrifice.
I think we take parents for granted, and think they are duty bound to serve us, all our lives. Some don’t seem to grow up at all. As a kid they should do all that the kid needs. But, we are not kids, all our lives.
Eulogy is useless, when we can praise them while they are alive.
Love, Care and Respect is their right, which they have earned. Give them their due, without grumbling, and without delay.
