August 14, 2022Sons of Korah, exhort us to sing praise to the LORD God Almighty in Psalm 47. YAHWEH is to be praised because of who He is and what He has done. Verse 7 says that “7 For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding.” He is not only our Creator, but also the Ruler – the KING of all the earth!!!
Matthew Henry observes, that “We are here most earnestly pressed to praise God, and to sing his praises; so backward are we to this duty that we have need to be urged to it by precept upon precept, and line upon line;” It is summed up well for us, the significance and the need to praise the LORD.
Therefore, it is a good for us to praise the LORD! So, let us, “6 Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises!* – Psalms 47:6.
