God is all wise. He knows what He is doing, and does what is needed. Tongue is a little thing says the Book, but also the most dangerous. It can set anything on fire. Poison a perfectly good relationship, and what not.
On the other hand, a tongue can revive a spirit too. It can give life to a dead man. Strengthen bonds, and build relationships.
The Book says, tongue is very powerful, and has both life and death in it. Therefore, the LORD in all His wisdom gave us two eyes, two ears, and one mouth. Moral of the matter – see more, listen more and speak less.
Thomas Watson spoke well about the barriers. Good to remember them, and speak when needed, and just what is needed.
